Stephen 'Steve' R. Bond

Stephen R. Bond, age 57, a lifelong resident of Londonderry Township, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Thursday, 9-24-2020 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, with his family by his side.  He was born on August 24, 1963 to the late Robert W. Bond and Donna Evelyn Chase Bond who survives.  He graduated from Buckeye Trail High School in 1981 and graduated from Rhema Bible College, Broken Arrow. Okla.  He started the family farm which grew with beef cattle, sheep, and horses. 

He loved his sheep, cattle, horses, trail riding and camping. He received the State Farmer Degree, Sheep shearing competitions at Nationals and did custom sheep shearing.

He served as a Londonderry Township Trustee for 20 years and worked for R&L Enterprise, Antrim and Lashley Tractor Sale at Quaker City as a salesman.

He is survived by his wife Kathy Yocum Bond. his daughter, Elisabeth ‘Chad’ Caudill, of Lancaster and a son, David Bond, of Barnesville. Sisters, Cindy Bond, Londonderry, Sharrie ‘Scott’ Stephens, St. Clairsville, Marcy ‘Aaron’ Layne, Columbus. A brother, Philip Bond of Dover. Grandchildren, Alice Bond and Hunter Caudill. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation will be held, Sunday, September 27th. from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. at the Bond Funeral Home in Londonderry, Ohio. COVID-19 guidelines, face covering and social distancing are required.

Graveside services will be held at the Sunset View Cemetery, Londonderry, Ohio on, Monday, September 28th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Aaron Layne officiating.
